Green Beans with Bacon

Ingredients:

1/2-1 lb of smoked bacon
1-1 1/2 lbs bulk fresh long green beans, cut ends off and wash beans
1 tbs coarse ground black pepper
3 cloves chopped garlic

Directions:

Fry bacon till crispy. Remove bacon from pan and set aside to drain. Remove 1/2 of bacon grease and save. Saute garlic in hot bacon grease for one minute. Add green beans and saute till they just start to turn limp. Break up bacon into bits and add to beans. Sprinkle in pepper and saute till bacon is reheated. Serve with meal. Store unused bacon grease for use later.
