Requirements
  • You need the IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway and DNS numbers you were given to complete this configuration.
How to Configure Cal.net DSL with static IP in Windows 2000
  1. Double-click the My Computer icon.
     

     
  2. Double-click the Control Panel icon.
     

     
  3. Double-click the Network and Dial-Up Connections icon.
     

     
  4. Click the Local Area Connection icon with your right mouse button, then choose Properties.
     

     
  5. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the Components checked are used by this connection list.
     
  6. Click the Properties button.
     

     
  7. Select Use the following IP address.
     
  8. In the IP address field, type the IP address you have been assigned.
     
  9. In the Subnet mask field, type the subnet mask you were given.
     
  10. Select Use the following DNS server addresses.
     
  11. In the Preferred DNS server field, type 206.170.184.2.
     
  12. In the Alternate DNS server field, type 206.170.184.4.
     
  13. Click the OK button.
     

     
  14. Click the OK button and restart your computer.
