- Double-click the My Computer icon.
- Double-click the Control Panel icon.
- Double-click the Network icon.
- Select TCP/IP -> Your Network Interface Card (NIC) in the
The following network components are installed list.
- Click the Properties button
- Click on the IP Address tab.
- Select Specify an IP address.
- In the IP Address field, type the IP address you were given.
- In the Subnet Mask field, type the subnet mask you were given.
- Click on the DNS Configuration tab.
- Select Enable DNS.
- Type in cal.net for host and then type in the DNS numbers you were given
and click on Add.
- Click on the WINS Configuration tab.
- Select Disable WINS Resolution.
- Click on the Gateway tab.
- Enter the Gateway address you were given and click on Add.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Yes button to restart your computer.
