Requirements
  • You need the IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway and DNS numbers you were given to complete this configuration.
How to Configure Cal.net DSL with Static IP in Windows 95/98/Me
  1. Double-click the My Computer icon.
     

     
  2. Double-click the Control Panel icon.
     

     
  3. Double-click the Network icon.
     

     
  4. Select TCP/IP -> Your Network Interface Card (NIC) in the The following network components are installed list.
     
  5. Click the Properties button
     

     
  6. Click on the IP Address tab.
     
  7. Select Specify an IP address.
     
  8. In the IP Address field, type the IP address you were given.
     
  9. In the Subnet Mask field, type the subnet mask you were given.
     

     
  10. Click on the DNS Configuration tab.
     
  11. Select Enable DNS.
     
  12. Type in cal.net for host and then type in the DNS numbers you were given and click on Add.
     

     
  13. Click on the WINS Configuration tab.
     
  14. Select Disable WINS Resolution.
     

     
  15. Click on the Gateway tab.
     
  16. Enter the Gateway address you were given and click on Add.
     
  17. Click the OK button.
     

     
  18. Click the Yes button to restart your computer.
