Requirements
  • You need the IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway and DNS numbers you were given to complete this configuration.
How to Configure Static IP addresses in Windows Vista
  1. Click on: Start then click on: Network
     

     
  2. Click on: Network and Sharing Center
     

     
  3. On the side for that window click on: Manage Network Connections

     
     
  4. Right Click on Local Area Connection then click on Properties

     

     
  5. It may ask for permission to continue, click on yes.
  6. Look for (Internet protocol IPV4), Double click it
     

     
  7. Once the properties are open, click on the bubble to "use the following addresses"
     

     
  8. Insert IP address given
     
  9. Subnet mask will insert itself
     
  10. The Default Gateway will be given to you
     
  11. The DNS will be 206.170.184.2 and 206.170.184.4
     
  12. Click OK and then close the windows, you will then be able to browse the net.
