Definition of Status Indicators
Fully Operational	This service is functioning normally.
Warning	Some aspects of this service are not functioning. For example it might be possible to read news, but not to post new articles.
Unavailable	This service (mail, news, etc.) is not functioning.
Indicator Disabled	Notification for this service is currently disabled. This is normally due to maintainence.

Definition of Network Services
Internet Backbone	Internet Backbone refers to our main connection to the rest of the Internet.
Web Server	This covers our web server here at Cal.net including customer web pages.
News Server	Also called USENET, this is the distributed bulletin board system that brings you information on over 35,000 topics. Problems might include delays in posting or retreiving of new articles.
SMTP Mail Server	Our incoming and outgoing mail serer. This includes all mail being collected on your behalf and exchange of messages with other computers around the Internet.
POP Mail Server	This includes our mail server that stores your e-mail when you are off-line and delivers it to your computer when you request.
FTP Server	This is how you upload files for your web page to our server.
Account Registration	The on-line registration process you complete to become a Cal.net Member.
